Returning for its tenth edition in 2019, George Town Festival will be delivering an entirely new way of experiencing arts to everyone. This year, the Festival embodies the idea of making arts accessible to all, regardless of age or background. A vast amount of visual art, theatre, music, dance, comedy, film, photography and more will be showcased throughout the 16 days to make sure that there is something for everyone. The 16-day arts festival will take place from 13 – 28 July this year throughout the city.
The Festival will present three highlight events: ‘When Night Falls’ will showcase the prism of light, colour and illumination from across the globe. ‘Art in the City’ will then bring visitors shuttle through the diversity and transition of various arts aspects in George Town World Heritage Site, happening all at once in the city. At ‘The Extravaganza’, visitors would be able to indulge in all forms of performing arts ranging from contemporary, traditional to novelty performances at a single place.
With such a vast array of programmes, George Town Festival 2019 is a place to see, learn and experience the transformational nature of arts, cultures and heritage in a brand new way.
